There is a radiant glow on bride's face partly because of holy fire and a lot due to happiness within. She is following the rituals as priest chants mantras, yet her mind drifts. Will they truly share the bond of seven lifetimes, as the sacred scriptures promise?
As her bridegroom reaches for the ring, glistening with crimson sindoor, a familiar saying echoes in her mind: the longer the trickle of sindoor on her nose and face, the deeper her husband’s love would run.
